Blood Oath cover revealed!

Dave Seeley! Jedi! Hot chicks! (Leeloo? Is that you?) What more could one ask for in a Blood Oath cover? How about a summary? It contains some LOTF spoilers, so read it at the link or under the cut.
Once an orphan scavenging on the streets of Coruscant’s undercity, he rose to become a Jedi Knight and serve with honor as a fighter pilot for the New Republic. Alongside Jaina Solo, he confronted the forces of Darth Caedus — the most powerful of the Sith Lords — in a battle that nearly destroyed him. But his story isn’t over. For Zekk, the future holds much more. . . .
Darth Caedus is dead, and the war is ended. Still, the Imperial Remnant remains a very real threat for the Galactic Alliance. And though the Moffs’ attempted assassination of Tenel Ka, Queen Mother of the Hapes Consortium, has failed, their machinations have uncovered an ancient secret capable of destroying the queen and her people as surely as the deadliest attack.
As Jag Fel, Imperial Remnant leader and Zekk’s longtime rival for Jaina Solo’s affections, assumes control of the Moff Council — stepping right into a nest of explosive intrigue — Zekk, desperate to contact his Jedi comrades, finds himself at the mercy of a pirate captain with an unknown agenda and allegiance to none but herself. But with or without her, the Knight vows to do whatever it takes to stop the volatile conflict unfolding around him from reaching its fatal endgame.

Something’s actually rotten at Livejournal this time
To be honestly I though Strikethrough and all the related panic-filled hubris about naked Harry Potters were much ado about nothing…. But Livejournal has finally done something to make me worry about the future of the site: They’ve laid off their product managers and engineers, according to Valleywag. Is the end nigh? Or will LJ’s large user base find some sort of salvation? Back up, and stay tuned…
UPDATE: There’s another report on LJ itself. It has a smaller number of layoffs, and lots of links, and I’d trust it more than Valleywag. Though I’d still do a backup.

Rumor: The Clone Wars on DVD in March?

TFN has a source saying that there are tentative plans to release the first set of The Clone Wars DVDs - the first part of the season - on March 25th. (A Wednesday? One strike.)
Assuming Cartoon Network takes no more breaks, the season’s last episode will air on the 20th… And perhaps the second half on DVD in June, if any of this pans out.
UPDATE: And things just got a lot more solid… it’s in Previews! Click over to the TFN link for scans.

And the Waru goes to…
Daala, of course. It honestly wasn’t much of a contest - everyone’s favorite KJA-spawned Imperial psycho and her new job as (LOTF spoiler) the Galactic Alliance Chief of State (aka President of the Galaxy for our less EU-oriented friends) took an early lead and kept it, although Ahsoka made a strong showing. But she’s young, and while it’s hard to imagine that The Clone Wars could top a surprise apprentice for Anakin, this is Star Wars. George will certainly think of something! Hell - she might even survive.
What will the 2009 hold for the Warus? Not much… We hope. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, tell us why you voted for, why, and what would you have nominated for the 2008 Warus?

Meta report: CJ blog on Twitter and Facebook
So, the Twitter is pretty smoking, in that there are 300+ postings in the space of about a month and a half. And while most of the stuff over there does make it over here eventually as promised, not all of it does. Consider that a bonus for Twitter users. I am looking into a way to get it on the sidebar of the blog here (it takes a bit of research: there are about a million plugins to do it) but nothing annoyingly Loudtwitter-esque, I promise.
And since so many of you are on Facebook, well, there’s something for you, too: The Networked Blogs app, which lets you ID yourself as a reader of Club Jade, or any other blog you might fancy. Livejournalers, which came #2 in the poll, have long had
cj_rss to friend. All the LJ feeds have been a bit sluggish lately, but they get the job done.

EUbits: Joe Schreiber talks Deathtroopers with Bookspot Central, Legacy preview
Bookspot’s Jay Tomio talks to author Joe Schreiber about his upcoming Star Wars horror novel, how he got the job, and his history with the franchise. I believe this is the first interview with Schreiber focusing solely on Deathtroopers.
In other EU news, the preview for Legacy #32 went up on Friday.
