TFU #3 Game Worldwide (Jul-Sep)
Every three months, the NPD Group puts out a list of the top games worldwide for the previous three months. On the July 2008 through September 2008 list, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed placed at #3. This is impressive considering the fact that The Force Unleashed was only available for 15 days in September!

HBO greenlights A Game of Thrones pilot
The A Song of Ice and Fire TV show moves one very big step closer to reality with this morning’s news that HBO has greenlit the pilot. There’s no guarantee that they’ll pick up the series from there, but the script is “very faithful” to the book, according to author George R.R. Martin. Whether that makes it good TV we’ll just have to wait and see…

You may have noticed our latest sidebar poll, which went up a few days ago, is about social networking sites.
It’s mostly idle curiosity on my part, as I created a Twitter account for the blog the other day. You don’t need an account there to read it, nor do you really need to read it. I fully plan to incorporate most of what is linked there into roundup posts here in time… You know, all that news that doesn’t really justify more than a line or two.
